Week 9/52: color. I LOVE colorful photographs, but for some reason I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted to do this week. I knew I wanted to step outside the realm of portrait photography and do something different than I usually do. As I was walking into my house from the car today, I saw that spring has come to Houston and there are flowers in bloom. So I went in, got my camera, and snapped this picture of a little dandelion. I love the bright, yellow color of dandelions. I don't even care if it's a weed :)

Week 8
I was so excited about this week's theme and now I am having a serious inner struggle deciding on which picture to post! haha I had a great picture thought out in my head of a beach sunset with this little guy playing in the sand, but the sun never showed up today. I thought about posting a "computer light picture" but wasn't in love with the idea so here is a photo i snapped of my son at the park on the one day the sun decided to come out this week :) Figures the theme I was most excited about fell on a rainy, gloomy week...
P.S. is it pathetic that I am jealous of my two year old son's eyelashes??

A Boy and His Balloon
Jackson has grown very attached to his red balloon. He also really likes watching home videos of himself. Combine the two and he is in heaven.

Wildcard Week
Week 7 of the 52 week photo challenge was deemed "wildcard week." Since I was able to choose to do anything I wanted, I decided to share a photo from my most recent photo shoot.
I can't say enough good things about this little family. And their children are to die for! They were a joy to photograph and I am in love with this picture. To me, it is a representation of everything good in life--innocence, new life, curiosity, love, miracles. Children are so great to photograph because they are so uninhibited and the camera is able to capture so many different emotions and feelings with just one picture.

Emotion
Week 6: Emotion
My sweet little Carter has been sick for the past few days. I get so emotional when my kids hurt and I can't do anything to help them. This picture, in particular, evokes emotion in me because I love the way my husband is with our boys. He is such a good daddy!
